Tricks or Treats?
Halloween has come and gone, and just like every year there was a bash. This time it was hosted by some rich guy named Androvich who seems to be rivaling the Kaminski fortune, only, he's allied with the rebellion. That's right --humanity has finally gotten itself in order and made the call to arms. You can identify the Children of Moses by their linked chains, but the angels and deamons have yet to see them as a threat: Petran apparently thought them harmless enough to make an appearance at the Event and a psychopathic Lucifugal even went so far as to set the place on fire. Ezekeil, the temporary Faithful, doesnt even seem to bat an eyelash at the new-founded group; he has an apocalypse to bring about after all.

Dont talk to strangers!
Adam plucked yet another steawberry from the patch out back, dropped it into his basket, and stood, groaning like the old man he refused to believe he was. "Why do these bushes have to be so close to the dippin' ground?" He muttered, stretching the small of his back. He'd been trekking around the berry patch for a good hour now, sweeping from corner to corner to get the best berries for Eve. He was going to pick up some chocolate on the way home and surprise her with dessert. After all, making chocolate covered strawberries wasn't exactly the most complicated task he'd ever done. He just had to melt the chocolate and dip the strawberries in it and --voila! Instant happiness!
...And he'd be dipped if he gave her another reason to be upset.
The whole fiasco at the carnival had happened a while ago, but Adam, well, he couldn't let fish fry even if he liked fishsticks. His Eve had been so upset --worse than he'd seen her in a good long while-- and it was because he'd forgot to put the french fried note on the counter. In the end, she always had the right of it: She was with stupid.
Looking into his basket --and refusing to admit he looked rather dainty with it-- Adam decided he had enough and headed back across the fields to pay inside the orphanage. He mostly certainly wasn't going to forget to pay his kids for their hard work, not when they needed all the help they could get, but that was beyond the whole point of Adam swearing to himself he'd never forget to do something for someone important to him. ever. again.
It was on the way back to the building that he came across a young girl, probably living in the orphenage. "Hey there, pretty miss," He smiled and waved amiably as he approached her. There was no need to scare off one of his daughters. "Do you think you can tell an old man where do he should pay for these?"

Why why why why why whyyyy was Yolu in this scary orphanage? She could hear the taunting giggles of boys and girls ride in on a breeze intrinsic to the orphanage alone. She h-had heard about the ghosts in this orphanage and...it was such a stupid idea, ahh! Yolu was a ghost who couldn't talk to ghosts, what was this?!
The ghost lolita nervously wringed her bandaged up hands together, careful not to reawaken the pain in her fingers. S-she needed to get out of here....slowly, the ghost took a few steps backwards before turning--nearly walking right into the door--and hesitated.
Wheeewwww was the whistle of a cold wind hitting her spine, prompting her with enough motivation to scramble out of the door and pull it shut. Legs shaking, heart pounding a bruise on her chest...
" AHH!" the phantom shrieked as she heard a voice behind her. Whipping around, eyes wide and teary....only to find it was the man from the train station...
And thus the shell relaxed. "I-I'm sorry, mister! " the wraith apologized....eyes still teary. Whatever he had asked flew right over her head...she was seeming really useless by this point. "I didn't mean to scream, I really didn't!"
Ahhh....ow?! The wounds under her bandages were starting to hurt, too! Great, just great!

Where had that overgrown monkey gone this time? With a sigh, Eve ran her fingers through her short hair (freshly cut thank you). She was wrapped up in her favorite coat and a pair of worn jeans. The blue t-shirt was visible from where she hadn't zipped up her jacket. It was really. Really cold. While she had been getting her hair cut, Adam had run off to do who knows what leaving Eve there to chat with her hairdresser. Poor Roman. He put up with her anger and let her rant about Adam yet picked on her the same time. How many times had she threatened to take those scissors away from him? Oh yeah. Several. Oh well. At least she hadn't gotten a mohawk like Roman had threaten on several occasion.
Now she just had to find that monkey.
How she gotten all the way out to the orphanage she didn't know. Just one of those things that happened with her and Adam. They always seemed to be able to find the other. For that, Eve was glad for. When she couldn't find Adam...it scared her. And the catastrophe that happened at the carnival had happened a while ago, sure, but it still lingered in her mind and still made her heart ache. She hadn't meant to react like that. Well she had but that was before she had known that Adam had been planning to surprise her. She still felt horrible for it actually. She desperately wanted to make him happy though. How was she supposed to make up for it though?
Eve's head jerked up as she heard a shriek. Oh dear. Now what? She pulled her hands out of her coat pockets and jogged towards the shriek had sounded. Of course. There was Adam and a poor girl looking absolutely terrified. Instinctively, Eve smacked her forehead. What was she going to do with him? She couldn't help but to smile though. "Desmond, are you scaring little girls again?" Eve called with a grin.

"Hole-y swiss--!" Adam huffed under his breath and wiggled a finger in his ear as if it would stop rining. That girl had a pair of lungs on her. She had shreiked --apparently she hadn't expected Adam to pop up behind her-- and spun around, scared out of her brains which only made the shreik louder.
But she calmed down quick enough and started wimpering apologies. "Don't worry about it." He said, trying to remember where he recognized that purple hair from. Something told him if he didn't remember her she'd start bawling. He'd only met one girl with purple hair that cried as much as this one did...
"I'll get my hearing back eventually." Even though his milkin' ears were bleeding and his face was more screwed up in a one-eyed wince than a slice of swiss cheese, he tried his best to smile a complacent smile. Which didn't do much to make him look better.
"Its my fault for coming up behi--!" And it was Adam's turn to be startled. Rather than put on a display in the ways of being terrified like Yolu had, Adam cut off his own words and turned around. The voice calling his name rang little bells in his head, but he couldn't stop the protective over-drive when he was caught off guard. The moment he saw Eve, however, the guard creeping into his expression immediately lightened.
"No, dear." Exhasperation filled every word. "I was just buying--" And he whipped the basket behind his back to hide it from her. "--a surprise?" He grinned like an idiot to Eve, but behind his back he was bouncing the basket in an attempt to get Yolu to take it in a way that said: Hide it!

Yolu's long line of apologies melted into a single whimper as the man much, much taller than her pretty much placate the girl with two single statements. Heh, single...like cheese...but then, the big man was cut off in his words as this lady—whose hair looked really nice—came out of nowhere. Immediately, Yolu was forgotten as the man turned to face the lady and in all honestly, she kind of didn't mind.
Yolu had turned to walk away but the basket was bouncing. Where...oh, that cue! Yolu's seen that cue before! The wraith considered it—she had never stepped out from behind the man and she was right in front of the door...and she had to apologize, so....with those famously small hands of her's, the child quickly took away the basket and for a minute...the red berries were something to look at before opening the door a crack and scampering into the orphanage. Of course, she didn't get very far before tripping over her own feet--her own feet--and hitting the floor, sending a cloud of dust flying into the air as well as round fruit flying. Noo!
“Gah--!” Yolu yelped between coughs and sneezes as she pushed herself up and waved away the cloud of dust. The basket now lay half full and there were berries everywhere...ohhh......

Eve shoved her hands into her coat pockets as she walked closer. Finally she stopped right in front of Adam. "Well at least you haven't been off getting yourself strangled by one of your clients like that one time..." She smiled up at Adam and shook her head. "You big goof. I feel like I've been all over Russia looking for you until I found the note that you put in my coat pocket." She held up said note with a grin. So her husband was getting better at leaving notes and was starting to get sneaky in doing so. "I have to admit. Pretty sneaky." She nodded and sighed before reaching out to grab Adam's hand timidly.
She wrapped her gloved hand around Adam's before looking around for a minute. "Well...the orphanage sells the berries that grow around here per basket...do they sell anything else?" she asked. If it was a surprise, well she'd figure it out. She always would. She shook her head and patted Adam's arm. "I won't pry. I'll let it be a surprise for now love." She was trying to be gentler, calmer, more...understanding she supposed. Eve was none of those but since the carnival incident, she thought it would be best if she was. She didn't want to push Adam away from her anymore. She didn't even know how much she had pushed him away as it was. She just wanted to keep him close and never let him go. Stupid monkey...he was stupid for getting her to love him so much!
She looped her arm through Adam's and leaned against him. "So what's this big surprise~?"
